It's tax time. Questions abound this time a year about when to expect form 1099 ... and the ever-dreaded corrected version. Here are a couple things we know:
* Online versions are always available to view and download before they arrive in the mail.
+ Schwab Client Center (https://client.schwab.com/logout/logout.aspx?explicit=y)
+ UBS Client Center (https://onlineservices.ubs.com/olsauth/ex/pbl/lo?se=1650&status=1&origin=/)
* Stock, options and cash accounts will come first in early February.
* Investment products like mutual funds and REITs often have their income reclassified, so accounts with these investments post in late February to try and minimize the need for corrected forms.
* Still, some investments reclassify income even later. Corrected 1099s will start posting in early or mid-March.
As a reminder, the deadline to open and fund a Traditional IRA or Roth IRA for tax year 2019 is April 15, 2020. The annual limit is $6,000 for those under 50 and $7,000 for those over.
