Have you noticed that US Postal Service (USPS) mail delivery had gotten slower? Well, that’s been on purpose since October 1. That’s when the 10-year plan was started to overhaul the USPS. The thought behind it is to save money by relying less on moving mail by air and more by ground transportation. In addition, the price of a stamp increased from $.53 to $.58. Holiday price increases for packages and other mail are now in effect. These are all necessary changes since the USPS, as a business, has been losing money with the latest figure being a loss of $9.2B in FY2020. More changes are being proposed. Check out how this drama is unfolding. Oh, PS To avoid late fees from delayed receipt of bill payment, people are being urged to use electronic payment.
