It is a good rule of thumb to review your estate documents every three to five years, whether you think it's needed or not. The plan details often escape immediate recollection and a quick review might find out-of-date names or wishes.

In addition, life events and certain milestones could trigger a revision. If any of these happen to you, be sure to get your documents in order and review them:

  • birth of a child or grandchild
  • minor children turning age 18 or going to college
  • children getting married
  • new charitable intents
  • loss of a spouse (death or divorce)
  • signs of dementia or other cognitive issues.
  • significant financial changes (e.g., business sale or inheritance)
  • changes in estate-tax law

Your Life

Multivitamin mineral supplements are dietary supplements that contain unique combinations of vitamins, minerals, or both, with each nutrient helping to meet a dietary need. For most people, a multivitamin isn't necessary since they get enough from food, but for some, like older adults, people who are experiencing low appetite or difficulty eating a balanced diet, from an illness or even pregnancy, a multivitamin can help fill in nutrition gaps. What happens to your body when you take a multivitamin every day? You may have better immune function. You might experience gastrointestinal symptoms. You may boost your energy levels. You might have a healthier pregnancy. You may be less anxious. You might have sharper brain function. So, benefits and side effects can vary, but for some, it is essential.
